Ellen Gordon's Story:
I started using tapes for healing after I developed rheumatoid arthritis in 1978. At first I just listened to them for relaxation, so that I could get to sleep without pills. I bought dozens of relaxation and healing tapes, but I was frustrated that even the best tapes often had suggestions that I didn't like. So I began designing my own tapes. I use tapes a lot. I use tapes to go to sleep. I use them when my arthritis pain flares up. I listen to them during lunch breaks in order to get energized to go back to work. I have used them with great success before, during and after surgery. After an operation on my hand, I was in the recovery room, and in a lot of pain. I asked the nurse to put my headphones on me and start my tape. I also asked the nurse to get me something for my pain. By the time the nurse returned, I didn't need the pain medicine. Normal healing from that particular operation takes 8 weeks. I listened to a healing tape two times a day, every day for a month. My hand was fully healed in five weeks. My symptoms from rheumatoid arthritis are much less severe since using the healing visualization tapes with affirmations.
